history

venice has been around since the end of 2020. the core of their design hasn’t changed much since then, but i’ve played around with their markings somewhat. for a while, they were one of the few sonas i’d ever designed for myself, and i’ve always been pretty happy with them! their red hair reflects my own - whenever i’ve been able to get it done - and i’ve always been a sucker for giant paws, though those paws aren’t reflected in a lot of its art. drawing them is easier said than done, haha.

theoretically speaking, venice is a shapeshifter. it could have many different forms. however, i haven’t designed a single one yet! i’ve imagined humanoid and dutch angel dragon forms, but i haven’t actually put pen to paper yet. maybe someday.

venice’s name is actually a bit of a bastardization of venus’s from we know the devil. i didn’t want to use my own name, but i wasn’t fully comfortable basing its name off venus either, so i compromised with something that sounded similar. a little silly, but it worked out!

all in all, i’m very happy with venice as my main fursona. i almost always feel a little closer to characters i designed personally, and i feel like its design is reflective of a lot of design choices i like. and it feels like a representation of myself! bonus.

personality

venice is an energetic lil guy. it always has some kind of project going on, whether that be sewing, programming, or drawing. it doesn't get overwhelmed too easily - though it has a bit of an anxious streak - but its shapeshifting can falter when its under too much pressure. it loves goofing off and having fun. it's the type to jokingly insult its friends, but it generally tries to be a kind person.

it's not exactly like me in personality, but it is pretty similar! as a result it's personality is a little hard to talk about; i don't have the best grasp on my own personality. i think i got the important stuff down, though!

appearance

venice's main form is a purple dog anthro with floppy ears, tan horns, and white angel wings. they have pink and yellow markings. their red hair is pulled into a ponytail. their yellow eyes have black sclera and they wear black, thick-rimmed glasses. their big, bushy tail is the same color as their hair.

fashion

while venice doesn't have a set outfit in my mind, they're often drawn with a blue sleeveless top tucked into shorts and a black collar with a moon pendant. in general, their fashion sense is pretty relaxed. they like admiring fashion from a distance, but they don't tend to get super dressed up. sometimes they don't wear clothes at all! such is the life of a furry.
