new decade
i kept forgetting to write a post after my birthday, but i finally remembered. as of the 21st, i am officially 30! i'm excited to leave my twenties behind and enter a new era. i had a pretty lowkey birthday celebration, but it was an amazing time nonetheless. i got tiramisu cake from the grocery store, which was delicious. one of my friends gave me money for breakfast and one of my partners gave me money for dinner, so i got to eat lots of great food! i streamed hundred line for some friends and my partners, too, which i had a lot of fun doing. i need to get back into playing regularly, but i'm on the romance route and it's just not that interesting. if i wanted to date someone i'd play a dating sim! oh well.
speaking of gaming, i just got back into playing ffxiv. thanks to all the jumping around operating systems i did, i lost all my hotbars because i didn't think to save them before moving, so i haven't been too motivated to play on my main, but i felt inspired to create a viera/au ra wol, so i did that and i've been having fun! their name is freyja kha and they're currently a marauder, though i don't know if warrior will end up being their canon class. i just really wanted to try it out, since it's the one tank i haven't played yet. it's fun so far, but i'm in the very early stages - i haven't even run a dungeon yet! - so i still don't have the best feel for how it plays. i love tanking, though, so i'm sure i'll have a blast. take a look at freyja my beloved. i need to make their hair a bit lighter and i started playing with giving them paws but i'm still working that out. also ignore their weird nose, i didn't notice it until after i was done and idk how to fix it anyway because i'm very new to crimes.

i also started playing coffee talk! i love the atmosphere of the game. it feels like a chiller, more fantasy-oriented va11-ha11a, and i LOVED that game. a nighttime coffee shop in seattle is the perfect setting for me and i love seeing all the character interactions. i haven't played a ton yet, but i'm really enjoying it.
as for school, i'm likely going to go to wsu. i got accepted right after i posted my last blog, actually!!! i don't hear from uw until may at the earliest, but i don't think my chances of getting in are too high. if i get in, though, i'll be pretty hyped! unfortunately, though, i found out i actually haven't met the requirements for graduating my current school yet. i missed my final for one of my classes last quarter, and it made my gpa for that class .1 less than what it needed to be. can you believe it? .1. i needed a 2.5 and i got a 2.4. luckily, though, i can take a class in the spring that'll get me where i need to be, so i'll still graduate when i wanted to. i'll definitely be more careful about due dates this time, lol.
i think last time i talked quite a bit about journaling. i did try writing in a physical journal for a few days, but i kinda gave up? i enjoyed it, but it was hard to remember to do it. i did end up writing notes for a demo review in another journal though, which i'll continue to do when i get back to demo reviewing.
i'm still spending a lot of time watching youtube and doing not much else! it's super frustrating. getting back into ffxiv makes me feel like i'm getting back on the right track, though. i want to play more games for sure. we'll see where i head from here!
