long month
cw: animal death
hi everyone! it's been a pretty crazy few weeks since i last posted. this week in particular has been… oof. i posted a neocities status about this, but my dog passed away on wednesday. we had to put him to sleep after finding out he had a bunch of cancerous masses in his abdomen. i've had him for over twelve years and he was our last dog, so i'm pretty devastated. every time i've lost one of my dogs i've reacted differently and i always feel like it's the wrong reaction. there's no wrong way to grieve, though; i just have to remind myself that. my partners have been a big help for getting through this.
on the brighter side, i completed my degree! i actually missed my final for one of my classes because i assumed i knew when it would be available, but i still managed to pass that class. that means i'm done with school for a while! i'm still figuring out exactly where i want to go for my bachelor's, but i'm getting closer to an answer. priority deadlines for scholarships and applications aren't until the start of next year, so i have some time. in the meantime, i will be taking some much needed rest.
i've been gaming quite a bit. i started playing baldur's gate 3 for a few days, but i didn't get far. getting it working on my computer proved to be a bit of a hassle so i've primarily been playing it on my steam deck, which is murder on the battery life. i've also been playing more slay the spire. i recently got rift of the necrodancer because i watched a friend of mine play it and it looked fun, but i haven't done much with that yet either. the past few days have been a bit hard gaming-wise - it's hard for me to stick with anything. ah well.
today i went to a craft bazaar! it's a yearly one at a local high school and i always have a blast going. i tried to limit my budget for once, but i still managed to get quite a few cool things. check em out!
i thought the dice would be perfect for candace. the crochet items were part of a grab bag and i really like them! i don't think i've ever owned a bucket hat. i can't tell if it's a little small though or if that's just how they fit on your head.
i think that's all i've got for today. i'm trying to just take everything easy for a little while until i feel relatively normal again. i'm hoping sometime this month i can bring back my demo blog, but we'll see how things go. i did lose my massive demo collection when i switched to linux, but i've already started replenishing it, haha.
thanks for reading, y'all! see you later!
