what i'm doing

welcome back! boy, i've been doing a lot since the last time i blogged. if you're following my site on neocities, you've already seen the fanfiction section i added to the site, but i've done so much more since then. one big thing i did was add rss feeds to everything! that's right, you can now follow updates for my main site, my blog, my gallery, my fanfiction, and my new demo-a-day miniblog! i was scared to do it at first, but it was actually dead simple. i followed these two guides to do it and it only took like 10 minutes to get all my feeds set up! if you don't have neocities, or you're only interested in certain parts of my website, feel free to give them a follow!

additionally, i've created a microblog! it's called demo-a-day, and on it, i'll be playing and talking about a steam demo once a day. it's partly inspired by what video game did i play yesterday? and partly inspired by the fact that i have like over 100 game demos on steam i need to get through. for the first entry, i played wander stars, which was really fun! i'm excited for it to come out.

the fanfiction section of my site was pretty easy-peasy to add, since i used a template, but then i decided to jazz it up with a tagging system. i took some inspiration for the tag system zonelots uses (and snagged a couple lines of code for the things i didn't really know how to do) and i think i came up with something pretty cool! i was so excited when it worked correctly haha. i actually realized i forgot to make sure tags with spaces linked properly and i almost broke it but i figured it out. yippee!

lastly, i made a new about page! i've been wanting to do this for a while and i finally got the amazing art for it. it's not the exact same as my original design for it, but when i realized the design i planned would require me cropping a bunch of images, i decided i was too lazy to do that LMAO. i also added mobile compatability, something the old about page lacked.

i think that covers everything i've done for the website. when it comes to writing, i've slowed down on that, but that's largely because when i'm not hanging out with friends, i'm usually pretty tired. i'm hoping to get some more writing done soon though! i had a new idea for my coffeeshop au that would require me writing an entirely new fic, but i think it'll be worth it.

i also haven't really been crocheting either, which is a shame. i still haven't finished my ipad case! i was going to go to the weekly fiber arts meetup and work on it there, but i had a headache from barely sleeping the night before and took medication for it, which knocks me out for the rest of the day when i take it. sigh. hopefully next week i can go!

that's pretty much everything i've been doing the past five days. i'm really excited about the changes to my site! fingers crossed i actually stick with the demo-a-day blog. lol. seeya!!
