writing n crafting
howdy y'all! time for another blog post from yours truly. this time i'm writing it in ellipsus, a google docs alternative a lot of people have suggested. i got into using it at first because of some fearmongering about gdocs deleting shit that turned out to be greatly exaggerated, but i actually like the ui a lot more so i'm sticking with it! i've been writing a lot of fanfic lately and i really like the roseglow theme. check it out!

(don't mind the cut off video, i'm watching my friend stream pokemon violet as i write this)
anyway, ellipsus has a convenient copy html option, so i'll be using that to get the html for this post. i don't know if i'll write all my blog posts like this, but it's fun to experiment with different things!
the fanfic i mentioned before is an erenville/warrior of light coffeeshop au (still a wip) and a couple fics i finished for the saiouma AU-gust weekend. those two are short, but i'm pretty pleased with them! i don't have any plot ideas for tomorrow, though, so i may draw something instead. we'll see! you can find my ao3 here if you're curious, and since i'm writing fanfic again i may add a link to it on my about page. i've actually been thinking about storing my fic on this site too! i found a pretty cool template i could use for it a while back.
speaking of this site, i'm about ready to get my new about page in order! the artist i was looking at opened slots back up and now i'm just waiting on the drawing i want to use for it. i'm pretty excited! in the meantime, i did make a small page to host my projects. and speaking of projects… i finished that zine! it actually got some downloads, which i was surprised by. i offered a pdf version just for funsies, but i didn't expect anyone to really download it. i was pleasantly surprised! it makes me excited to work on more zines in the future.
on the craftier side of things, i've really been into crocheting lately! i haven't done a tooon of crocheting myself, but i have been working on it! i went to a fiber arts meetup at the local library on tuesday and it was great, though i had to leave early because i didn't have a drink and my wrist was getting sore. i haven't been having wrist issues lately, so hopefully i can stay for the whole time next week! i kinda stopped working on that bag i was working on to do something else: an ipad case! i was originally going to make a quilted one, but then i thought why not do crochet instead? so i looked up a pattern and here we are. this is my progress so far!

it's a little wider than my ipad actually is because i want to fit my keyboard in there with it. it may still be a bit wider than it needs to be, but oh well. at first i thought i really shot myself in the foot with that fluffy yarn, but it's gotten easier to work with as i continue.
i'm hoping to enter the upcoming girly games jam! we'll see if i actually pull through this time. i may join the discord for accountability lol. i'll let you guys know how that goes!
d&d has been awesome. we had a session last night and it seemed like a regular train heist, but at the end we all got stabbed in the back by the person that wanted us to steal for them and left to die. it was so exciting!!! the heist was fun and the twist was so cool. i said locke was kind of slay and everyone laughed. i'm right though.
that's all i've got for this post! i'll see y'all next time :)
