livin' life

hey hey all! it's that time once again. blog entry time! i'm writing this on my ipad this time because i got a keyboard for it and i'm really excited about it. i've been spending a little more time in bed lately because i keep needing to take my sumatriptan haha. i usually only use my ipad for drawing so it's a treat to do more with it. i've got some tea and total drama all stars on the tv and i'm ready to go!

my nephew was born on the fourth of july! it was a crazyass day. i woke up at like 4 am to emts in my house and it was a whole thing. he's still in the hospital, but my mom and i have been visiting every day. he's so small and cute!!! his name is lincoln. honestly the hospital food kinda slays too. yesterday i had a great taco salad and today i had chicken fried rice and some kind of slaw. they also have a starbucks that's cheaper than regular starbucks so that's been tasty.

i've kinda stalled on game making. i'm a little daunted by the prospect of doing proper, completed art and it's scared me out of continuing. i'll get to it eventually! i just have to push myself. since i'm in bed on my ipad tonight anyway, i might be able to crank something out. i probably won't though. i have been a little inspired to experiment in pico-8 though!

i've been thinking a lot about my plans for the future. i finish up school in the fall and after that i'm not entirely sure what i wanna do! i've been looking into schools to further my education, but i also kinda wanna jump right into working. it's a tough choice! i really wanna live in seattle too, which is tough with my current income being disability. there's a lot for me to consider. i have plenty of time, but at the same time i feel like i have to decide Right Now. life is crazy man.

i just remembered i went thrift shopping the other day too! i got a travel keyboard for my laptop, a couple old games, and some cute cups. i've been thinking about getting a computer i can run windows xp on, so i got some games in anticipation of that. plus they just looked neat!

i also got some more games from the steam sale! i don't remember all of them off the top of my head, but i've been playing autorogue (which actually wasn't on sale lol) and super lesbian animal rpg. i really like both of them! i'm not too far in slarpg, but it's got that classic rpgmaker feel. autorogue is a fun roguelike where you set up your attack plan before the battle and watch it play out. i've only done two runs so far, but i'm enjoying it!
