happy holidays everyone! this is just a quick blog post i felt like writing up for christmas. our celebrations are pretty lowkey this year - there isn't a ton of money to go around, so we didn't go to visit family like we have the past few years. still, i was able to get my mom some stuff and i got a few nice things from her as well. i got my mom some sleep masks she's been wanting, which she loved, as well as a new gown, which she hasn't opened yet. she got me a nice new sweater and a new bathrobe! i have one other gift i haven't opened as well - when my brother, sister-in-law, and niece get home, we'll be opening the rest. lynx also ordered me an eggdog plush, which came in a few days ago but i only opened today. here's a picture of us together:

all in all, it's been a pretty relaxing christmas! i got to go on a quick grocery run too, which i always enjoy, and i got a festive coffee from my favorite local cafe. it was a raspberry mocha latte with oatmilk called a rudolph. not what i originally went in for, but i had to try it!

i've also been doing a little drawing today. i haven't done much of that the past few days - i've been feeling a bit worn out. i'm still enjoying it, but i'm not happy with my current commission prices, so i feel like i'm not earning as much as i should be. i already plan to raise my prices in january, but until then it's a bit of a slog. maybe i should've just upped them right away, but i felt like it was fair to give a bit of a warning. oh well. come january, i'd like to open commissions on toyhou.se too. on the bright side, i have tons of great art to add to my pixel art pages! maybe i'll do an update over there soon.

all is pretty quiet on the webpage making front. i haven't felt as inspired to work on my site despite having ideas for it. not sure why! maybe the allure of it just wore off. i'll have to start exploring the web again and regain that inspiration. well, i guess i shouldn't say i have to; my website is just a fun exercise for me and a place to express myself, not an obligation. in the meantime, i did work on my css for my furvilla profile, but it never works as you expect it to the first time around and i hate having my profile look like a mess while i'm figuring it out, so that's on the backburner. i've also been setting up profiles for my ocs on toyhou.se, but i haven't been making any of those codes. maybe i should try my hand at it, though!

that ended up a bit longer than i intended, but i had a good time writing it. it's always nice to explore my thoughts a bit! i can be quite the yapper when i let myself lol. i hope to participate in 32-bit cafe's year-end event, so expect to see either another blog post or a new webpage soon! the deadline isn't until january, but i'd prefer to finish it either before the year ends or right at the start of the new year. see y'all later!
